Responses of Stream Geomorphic Indices to Piedmont Fault Activity in the Northern Segment of the Red River Fault Zone

Based on a digital elevation model (DEM) and GIS technology, we extracted analyzed stream geomorphic indices—such as the slope, relief degree of land surface (RDLS), hypsometric integral (HI) channel steepness index (ksn)—of Cangshan Piedmont Fault, Fengyi–Dingxiling Fault Midu Basin Margin in northern segment Red River Zone. This work indicates that all indices show higher values, with highest values along followed by lowest forming decreasing trend from north to south. lithology, climate tectonics, infer neotectonic activity is main factor controlling development drainage geomorphology.
